Today I want to show a beautiful building in Odessa, which I liked with its elegance. This is the state philharmonic. The building was built on the corner of Bunin and Pushkinskaya streets according to the design of the architect Alexander Bernardazzi in the neo-Renaissance style between 1894–9999 as the building of the New Merchant Exchange. The sketch of the project was a Viennese architect V. I. Prokhaski, who won the world competition, announced in 1891 by the Odessa City Council.

Сегодня я хочу показать красивое здание в Одессе, которое мне понравилось своей изысканностью. Это государственная филармония. Здание было построено на углу улиц Бунина и Пушкинской по проекту архитектора Александра Бернардацци в стиле неоренессанс между 1894—1899 годами как здание Новой купеческой биржи.Эскиз проекта составил венский архитектор В. И. Прохаски, который выиграл всемирный конкурс, объявленный в 1891 году одесской Думой.

When I considered this building, it seemed to me that it was built in the style of Italian Gothic. Why do I think so? Yes, because there are elements of the Renaissance, marble and colorful stained glass windows.

Я когда рассматривала это здание, мне показалось, что оно построено в стиле итальянской готики. Почему я так думаю? Да потому, что здесь присутствуют элементы ренессанса, мрамора и красочных витражей.

The ceiling in the hall of the Lebanese cedar, richly painted and gilded. An interesting fact, as I was told, is that it was made without a single nail.

Потолок в зале из ливанского кедра, богато расписан и позолочен. Интересным фактом, как мне сказали, является то, что сделан он без единого гвоздя.

The height of the main entrance is 21 meters, it is decorated with 12 zodiac signs.
Высота главного входа 21 метр, он украшен 12 знаками зодиака.
