Discovering the Allgäu - Up and along the Fellhorn, Part 1
Hello Steemians
Welcome back to a new instance of my Discovering the Allgäu-Series!
Todays photos document my ascent up the Fellhorn, a 2037 m high peak in the Kleinwalsertal. The Fellhorn is famous for the many wildflowers that grow in great number on its slopes and meadows.
A little lake on the way up with some strange bubbles sticking out of the water surface. Can you guess what this is?
An enormous conglomerate of zillions of frog eggs. I have never seen such an amount piling up in one place. The water will boil from wriggling tadpoles in a few weeks.

The sky is slowly closing.
But in the mountains, every weather condition...

Hallo, was für ein interessanter Blog. Ganz tolle Bilder mit guten Erklärungen dazu. So viele Froscheier habe ich noch nie gesehen. Ist ja kaum zu glauben. Gut das Du es dokumentiert hast und noch mit Bildern beschreibst. Wie lange hast Du denn gebraucht für den Aufstieg der 2000 Meter. Bist Du alleine unterwegs gewesen? Ja noch einige Fragen die mich wirklich interessieren. Man müsste da ja im Winter und im Frühling noch gut Skifahren können! Vielen Dank das Du dies mit uns teilst und liebe Grüsse aus Hamburg. Die erste Etappe bis zu diesem See ging sehr schnell, da wir die Bergbahn genommen hatten. Es waren noch ein paar etwas ältere Herrschaften mit dabei. Und ja, im Winter ist die ganze Region ein sehr gut ausgebautes Skigebiet. Es gibt dort entsprechend das ganze Jahr über viel zu unternehmen.

Vielen Dank für deine ausführliche Antwort. Ja mit der Seilbahn ist erstmal eine gute Sache. Aber auch damit sieht man ja die wunderbare Natur. Ich war auch schon mal in dieser Ecke und das interessante an diesem Berg, so wie ich mich erinnere war ja auch dass man sich stritt ob es jetzt Österreich oder Deutschland ist irgendwie ging die Grenze genau am Gipfel entlang oder so ähnlich. Hast du da nähere Informationen. Ist schon ein paar Jahre her bei mir. Ach ja und die Rosenfelder sind ja auch absolut ein Markenzeichen von dieser Gegend wie du aber auch schon geschrieben hast. Da erinnere ich mich aber auch noch dran. Leider keine Fotos. Hast du ja jetzt nachgeholt. Ganz liebe Grüße Michael

Those frog eggs! I have never seen anything like that either. True National Geographic stuff :) Btw astonishing mountain sceneries as always ;) I really enjoy these Alpine series of yours.

Haha, nein, aber das wäre eine schöne Schätzaufgabe. Zumindest wenn man das Ergebnis irgendwie automatisiert ermitteln könnte.

Danke! Ja, das ist mein Lieblingsbild aus dieser Serie. Da muss man sich dann für die Aufnahme auch mal auf den Boden legen, aber das kennst Du ja sicher.
