A Day On The Farm - 9

Summer time gets very hot here. Spending so much time outside in the direct sun can take its toll, so it is important to stay hydrated and also to cool down. We have a gorgeous spot on the river and it is just a short walk to a beautiful swimming hole. This year the mosquitoes have been especially terrible so we have not gotten down there as much as we like. But we braved the bugs to cool down today.

We take turns on the rope swing, jumping off and plunging into the cool water. It is so refreshing. Trouble has his own agenda, he wants to get that rope down. He has not yet been successful but it sure is funny watching him try. He growls and shakes and tries with everything he has to get it off the tree.

He loves the water and would swim all day. And I love to swim and take photos and watch him play. It's hard not to be thankful for such a beautiful place. Where is your favorite place to take a break from the world?
