I'm not an antiquer, but it looks a little like the trees from H R Pufnstuf back in the seventies.

That looks like it would make a terrific traveling tale, like the gnome in Amelie. Send it to your friends as a gag gift, or hide it at their houses until it startles them. Bonus points for freaking out any stoners in your friend group!
