Old Log Cabin on the Cumberland Plateau
A log cabin I found while flying over the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. I marked the GPS coordinates and came back later to lense this on the ground.
I then processed and distressed the image to give it a vintage old time tintype photographic appearance that I feel matches the cabin and era it was from.
Yes that is an outhouse on the right side of the cabin. Back then those were commonly called a "Jake".

I have lived on the Cumberland Plateau my whole life and have never had anybody that's ever heard of it if they aren't from Tennessee so this is awesome!

Now that Tennessee is crawling with people looking to be in the center of the eclipse, we need these little reminders of our rustic past. We weren't always the shiny fun place we are now. Speaking as a Nashvillian anyway.

Yes many times I must take a note of a location to revisit otherwise I would be zig zaging all over the sky from one cool site to another. I set out on "missions" to film specific places in the right atmospheric conditions, weather, cloud cover, angle of the sun etc. On my way to and from these locations I inevitably discover new sites I find interesting. Things look totally different when you are only a few hundred to a few thousand feet above the ground.
