It is a beautiful castle, just a few minutes by car from where I live. I bet, you would walk - it is a nice walk and you have a great view all the way up.
I have just got a message, that no beer can be delivered - his RC are down at the moment. We have to wait 😭

Yes, the castle is close, but I haven't been there more than just 2 or 3 times, I think.

ITs funny often when something is close its all to easy to put off visiting it, same with some of the tourist spots in NYC I only ever went to them when we had visitors

Right, we live and work near a beautiful lake, where people pay to make holidays and go swimming. The last time I have been in that water is about 10 years ago, when the kids were much younger 😉

I don't like to swim in lakes anyway, and my wife does not like that too. I need to see the ground ;)
Also, our lake is too expensive and there are too many tourists. I prefer to go to this lake and also to the other lakes, to which I drive for hours, as you say, in the mornings before the tourists are awake ;)
I have swum in a few lakes over the years, but back then I was a strong swimmer so I was fine , but nowadays I think if I was going to swim a nice heated pool would be my choice lOl
