Ohh yes thats true, the good thing for the states is its dropped down to a category 2 Hurricane but thts still packs a punch, it may even skirt he coast line and head up our way on the weekend, i kind of hope it stays off shores and fades away with no more damage

Sort:

I hope for you, that it doesn't come too close and doesn't damage anything.
But this might be a chance to make some good photos, if the storm is far enough away over the sea.

MY Wife has a bit of paranoia about storms and such so as Much as i would be tempted to go out for sots of it out to sea if there was a chance I am sure that she would veto that idea LOL

Yes, I know, we have been talking about this a while ago. I thought, when the storm is over the sea, a few miles away, you could take some photos with your telephoto lens, and she wouldn't mind, when you are not in danger ;)

Well aye she does not trust my concept of in no danger, which may be warranted with all he crazy things I used to do but i am somewhat sensible these days LOL

I can understand her somehow, because when I think back of some stories you have told me. Maybe you should think of something that shows her, you have changed ;)

I am trying to show her i have changed, and i have changed a lot, fortunately she hasn’t sent to many of y crazy stunts but she has heard about some of them from me and my colleagues LOL

But that said When we first moved here I forget exactly what happened but I think our front door locked when her boy left the key on the outside of the door and we couldn’t get out of the house and we had an appointment somewhere, So I said no worry I can pop out on the fire escape head down and then come up into the building and open the door, Which would have been fine if she didn't decide to look out from on of the other windows, I discovered that the fire escape was not in good condition and the stairs down tot he next level were missing, so I lowered myself off the side a bit and jumped down, no big deal to me but to her dropping down from the third floor onto a concrete footpath wasn’t a good idea.

I will admit it did twinge my knees aLittle but with her yelling a mix of are you OK and what the hell were you thinking I got up and walked along without any sign of a limp and walked around the building came up and opened the door and said OK you ready to go LOL

Third floor? You are crazy, my friend.
Of course, you were younger then, but I live on the second floor, which is a bit higher up than usual (ground floor is about 1.5 meters higher) and I would never jump down - maybe in winter, if a lot of snow was on the ground ;)

Now I can understand your wife, and I wouldn't let you go anywhere alone ;)

It sounds worse than it is, If you know how to land right with knees bent a bit so they dont take the brunt of the landing its OK, this was maybe 17 Years ago, I probably would not do it now, But i have done drops of that or higher before, not normally onto concrete of course so I knew if i lowered myself off he edge as far as I could and landed right it wouldn’t be a problem

But yeah i have never denied i am crazy
