Light Trail Photography #7: Police Cars And Ambulances
I went out to do some light trail shots last night, because it had been a while. Well for me it was a while lol it had been about a week, I usually get out nightly. I hit a few of my usual spots and got some decent shots. Then went to the corner of King St. And James St. This is where I got my new favorite light trail shot to date!
I set up and took a couple of test shots to get the lighting right and was waiting for some buses to go by when two police cars stopped at a red light on the intersection. They turned on their lights but had to wait for a person crossing the street, this gave me the perfect chance to hit the shutter and see how it would look.
On my way home it started to rain so I ducked into an entrance way of a store for cover. This was near a corner that I had done many shots at and decided well I have time to kill, so why not take some more? As soon as the tripod and camera were set up, I saw an ambulance coming. I quickly lined up the shot and snapped. The red brick and the ambulance lights gave a look that I am really happy with!
Catching both the police cars and the ambulance without any other traffic turned out amazing and gave me many more ideas for future shoots!
Below was my first shot of the night, bus and car light trails in front of an historic building called the right house (built in 1893).
Stay tuned for many more light trail adventures to come!
