Who is Volodymyr Zelensky?

Full name: Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy
Date of birth: January 25, 1978
Place of birth: Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine (then part of the Soviet Union)
Religion: Jewish
Former occupation: Comedian, writer, and television producer
Current position: President of Ukraine (since May 2019)

🔹Early Career in Entertainment

Before entering politics, Zelensky was a famous comedian and actor in Ukraine.
He founded a production company called Kvartal 95, which produced several satirical TV shows.
His most famous work was the TV series “Servant of the People,” where he played a teacher who unexpectedly becomes president after speaking out against government corruption — a role that later mirrored his real-life story.

🔹Entry into Politics

In 2018, Zelensky announced his candidacy for the presidency under the Servant of the People Party (named after his TV show).
His campaign was unconventional — he relied heavily on social media rather than traditional political speeches.
