TRAVEL DIARY: This is Phuket BEACH!

I was contemplating what to write about on my first official Steemit post and no ideas are coming out of my dull brain. When I was talking to my brother, which by the way is the person who introduced me to Steemit, he suggested I should talk about Phuket. I haven’t been to all the beaches here but Phuket as a topic is a very good way to start off my page. I’m certain there are other people who already wrote beautiful things about Phuket but I hope you will still enjoy all the photos I’m going to share. (Note: All photos are taken on different days I visited each areas.)

Phuket is one of the southern provinces of Thailand. According to Wikipedia, Phuket Province has an area of 576 square kilometres, somewhat less than that of Singapore, and is the second-smallest province of Thailand. Even if it is the second-smaller province, it is the largest island in Thailand. The most popular (and overcrowded, I must say) tourist area on Phuket is Patong Beach, probably due to the easy accesses to its wide and long beach. Patong is equally well known for its nightlife, centered on Soi Bangla (or Bangla Road).

Another popular beach where you can relax and wait for the sunset are Kata Beach and NaiHarn Beach. Me and my friends sometimes like to unwind and sit by the beach to wait for the sunset. I must say these 2 beaches has the best sunset I have seen (of course I haven’t been to a lot of places) in my life. These beaches are definitely less crowded than Patong beach and should also be on your must visit in Phuket. I hope my photos will give justice on how beautiful and mesmerizing it was.

What I usually do when I visit the beach. I just lie down and relax

There is also Nai Yang Beach. It is great for aviation lovers since you can experience and witness a most exciting plane landing/departing view from this beach. There are a lot of people who gathers at this beach to capture this moment and of course we are one of them. You have to time your photos perfectly to capture the plane taking off or landing. It was tricky but the photos we got out of it are worth it.

There are still a lot of beaches I have to explore and I would love to visit. Phuket is such a wonderful island and I hope you can include it on your travel list too.
