Hello friends, I hope you are all well. For the second week of the Steemit Challenge contest, I will be sharing How to Photograph Lakes. I would like to thank the organizers of this challenge, and without further delay, I am starting my participation.
How to Photograph Lakes/ Boat Ghat, Bhatiari
Bhatiary area is famous for its hilly lakes and natural beauty. I visited Bhatiari Lake to do some calm photography of the lake. You can also reach here very easily; there are some local vehicles from the Station area towards the Bhatiari-Hathazari link road that can help you get here.
Coming here, you will find mountains, a peaceful lake, and natural beauty. There are many large lakes here that wind through the mountains. If you get down at any spot in this area, you will get a beautiful view of the combination of lake and hills, but I have chosen the best place for my photography.
The place whose photography I will share with you is called the Boat Ghat. Because this is the middle part of the lake, many engine-driven boats are kept here together; if you want, you can take the facility of a boat ride here on an hourly basis.
In the beginning, I tried to take some calm pictures of the lake from the best angles. I visited there around 11 am because the lake remains perfectly calm at this time. The presence of visitors is less at this time, so this is one of the best times for calm photography of the lake.
Water Reflections
In the pictures above, you can see the amazing clear water of the lake and there are no big waves; the water is very cool and calm reflection. I didn't just turn on the phone camera and take photos immediately; I tried to walk around here and there to take the pictures in wide and perfect frames with the best camera angles. Every photo from every angle...
Video Moments
After that, I walked a bit and came to the very edge of the lake shore to take reflection photos. As these lakes are with the hills, the reflections of the big high hills were clearly visible on the water. Although the reflection of the trees on the hills was not clearly seen, their shadows were somewhat floating up.
I took all the photographs with the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The dedicated 3x telephoto lens helped me a lot to capture all kinds of pictures. I took the mirror reflection pictures by zooming from a distance and taking plenty of time to fix the frame perfectly, and I am sharing the raw images below without any kind of editing.
Photo Symmetry
Looking at the surroundings, it was such a location that you would just want to do photography. Since it is a hilly area, only green nature could be seen all around. For nature color photography, I tried to capture the scenario widely from a bit above, so I stood on ground a few meters high from the bank of the lake.
I found one of the best points for nature color photography. There was an extraordinary view of the calm lake passing through a long path right between two hills. It felt like the green color of the trees was floating on the water. I tried to do natural color photography by keeping the two hills in the frame and the lake in the center.

The funny thing is, while doing photography, I came so close to the lake that I felt like getting into the water, though I didn't go with that kind of preparation; but standing on the bank of the lake, I observed the calm environment of the surroundings for a long time, what a beautiful sight it was, cannot be explained in words.
The shadows of the big trees were falling on the lake water, the soft sunlight from the opposite direction made the lake water reflect golden, seeing all these things in one place and the water staying perfectly calm and still—while doing the photography of these moments, it was like losing myself in nature.
Calm Atmosphere and Visual Storytelling
So these were my photography moments of the calm lake; those who love photography in such places, come to the boat ghat area without delay, and you can also go for a boat ride on the calm lake if you want. While riding the boat through the hills, you will get lost in the beauty of the natural environment. Below I am sharing the location pin details with you.

বেশ কয়েকবার পুলাপাইনদের সাথে নেমেছি, আপাততঃ সে কয়েকবার অক্ষত অবস্থায় উঠে এসেছি । তবে কুমিরে পা নিয়ে যাওয়া নিয়ে সন্দিহান 😬
