Gosaikunda Lake

Gosaikunda lake is situated in Rasuwa District and is a major attraction of Langtang National Park. It is located at an altitude of 4380 metre. This lake has been believed to be created by Lord Shiva acccording to Hindu mythology and is a famous pilgrims site for Nepalese. It is a heavenly abode of Hindu Gods and one of the most visited tourism destinations in the country. Gosaikunda's natural beauty is immense and is of great religious and culutural significance. UNESCO should include it as world heritage site.
