Oh! Drat! (contest)

I didn't listen. That voice within told me, "Don't go out right now. You didn't get the wipers fixed and it could rain." I'll just pull off to the side of the road and wait until the downpour lets up a bit. I don't really want to do that. It's pretty isolated here and I really don't want to invite trouble. Never know who's out there looking for an opportunity to do whatever. I do still have some rounds left of japa to chant on my beads to fulfill my pledge of 16 rounds daily. And I have a mini revolver just in case. Kind of an odd combo, chanting names of God on beads and holding a mini revolver.

I remember hearing the story from the Vedas about the three boys in the jungle. A tiger was coming. One boy stood very still and simply meditated, "Everything is spirit. I am not this body, and the tiger is also not that body." The tiger ate him.

The second boy thought, " God is within everyone's heart. I'll pray to the Lord in the tiger's heart." The tiger ate him.

The third boy thought, "Yikes a tiger is coming. What do I do, Krishna?" Krishna within the boy's heart said, "Use your intelligence. That's why I gave it to you. Climb a tree." The tiger left him alone.

So here I am on the side of the road in a vulnerable situation. What do I do Krishna? " Krishna is saying, "Protect yourself. That's why I gave you intelligence."

Oh good. It's stopped raining. The sun is out.
