Pixel Art Fallout Pip-Boy - Anything Goes Friday
It's Anything Goes Friday and I've been waiting to share this one. It's a Pip-Boy from the world of Fallout. I've been working on this one for awhile now and decided to finish it up today and share it. I'll break down my steps and at the end I'll share an animated gif of my steps.

Step 1
As usual I'm starting with an outline. I started with a very rectangular shape, knowing I'd be refining it as I go. Sometimes you just need that first outline to get a sense for what you're about to do.
Step 2
Already refining that outline, it's looking less like a rectangle. I'm also adding a few inside details. I've added the basic outline for the screen and the knob on the side. Lots to do.
Step 3
I added a small knob outside the main outline here but really I'm focused on getting some more of the inside lines in place so I can better visualize the many details I still have to do.
Step 4
Rounded out that top right corner and continued with some more inside lines. I'm noticing that some things aren't lining up the way I think they should so I'll fix those next.
Step 5
I fixed the main knob, I didn't like how things were lining up. I also added a lot of little details inside. Things like lines and circles for small screws.
Step 6
Lots more inside details. It's actually looking a bit cluttered to me, so I think it's time to add some color next.
Step 7
Just throwing a base army green on it helps a lot. It's looking a lot better now and I'm a bit more confident that I'm on the right track.
Step 8
Not much here. I decided to add a second color around the screen just to see if helped more, which it did but I decided to come back to it later. I need a break.
Step 9
After a day I came back to this rejuvenated and got a lot of the coloring done. I darkened the base army green a bit, added color to the knobs and lines. I even started on some of the highlights. I added the green line through the screen just to give it a bit of life.
Step 10
Another day and I'm back at it. I liked how that green line livened it up and decided instead to have the main menu screen up and running. I also removed the dark outlines that were left and did some major work on the highlights. It feels done...
Step 11
I was preparing to post this and then decided to make it a bit more fun for Steem. I added the Steem logo on the screen and...
Step 12
Lastly, I added a background to closer match the loading screen on the game. It's done!

Really cool, I love pixel art.
Thank you! I do too, sometimes I think it's a bit of an underappreciated art / concept.
It'll get it's own in time, most new movements in the artworld were scoffed at first. Even photography was once looked down as and not 'an artform' and that certainly changed. Sometimes people feel that way with digital are as well, mostly people like sameness and when things change they don't know what to do so they mock it or say 'oh that's not a thing'. silly ole humankind :)
I upvoted your post.
