A New Lease on Life 🪴 for Mary Jane?

I have included these plants in several of my updates over the last few months, over winter, and they haven't been doing well.

I love the smell of these plants when they're growing and when the flowers come out. I have missed that recently because they have become dry and brittle. I will never harvest them because I really don't smoke this kind of herb. I really do like the plants though! They are beautiful.

Spoiler: Is there hope?

It was green all winter, but our winters have 50 degree days and are in the 40's at night.

I had three of them originally that I got at the end of last summer. The above is the largest of the three. I guess most people harvest these when they are still green, but I let mine go since I don't really use the leaves for anything except beauty.

I have a wooden dowel holding it because it gets windy sometimes. I try not to touch the plant because the leaves just fall and turn into flakes. I didn't plan to do any further updates on these at all until today.

It now looks like a stick with some dried buds stuck to it. It grew very well upside down, once the leaves rotated to face upward as seen in the video.

I water all of them everyday and today when, I went to water the littlest one, I saw something.

This little one has been the greenest of all and has dried out the least of all over the winter. But it's showing signs of life now!

As I said, I do not know these plans very well and I've never grown them before. But, this is a very uplifting sign if there may be hope. And if there is, I hope that all three of them will green up, not just the little one..

Having seen a shimmer of Hope with the baby, I decided to take a closer look at the largest of the plants to see if there's any signs of life returning.

At the base of the trunk, the first growth you see, as you move your eyes upward, is something green!

The same thing can be seen as you go from the end of this little branch toward the stem. There's one little green leaf coming out.

Here's a close-up of that one.

Aside from these two little bright green spots on the entire plant, there's nothing. If anyone knows what I should do next maybe you can leave a comment.

Should I pull off all the dry leaves and all the buds, my cousin would like that.

Or should I leave it as it is, and let it come back on its own?

Has anyone ever seen one of these the size of a tree?

If the plant does survive and green up. I'm wondering if it will get taller and bushier in its second year of life. If anyone knows about that, it would be appreciated.
