My Tulsi plants are growing

in #plants2 months ago

It's been a long summer and my plants have suffered quite a lot because of the intense heat. I have changed their position to protect them from intense heat and that has helped but still some of them could not survive. Surprisingly my Tulsi (Basil) plant has done well and not only done well but multiplied also. With this plant I have a little superstitious belief. We consider Tulsi as a good luck plant, we Indian believe that a Tulsi plant at home brings in Good health & prosperity.

I have a Desert Rose plant pot; Tulsi has started growing in that one as well. So now I have to plant in the same pot. The pot is big, so I am not worried, but the thing is both are getting entangled in to each other. I do not wish to disturb the growth of either one of them by doing anything with it, so I am allowing it to grow as is. To my surprise, Tulsi is growing way faster in this one then the other pots, so I am not sure how I am going to manage it if it keeps growing at this pace.

I use Tulsi leaves in my herbal tea, they have many health benefits like supporting heart health, lowering sugar level, cholesterol and blood pressure. It's a medicinal plant used in Ayurveda and I am happy to have them in abundance.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

@nainaztengra, your post really resonated with me! It's fascinating to see how your Tulsi has thrived despite the summer heat, especially with your beautiful Desert Rose. I love the blend of practical gardening with your cultural appreciation for Tulsi's significance in Indian tradition. The belief in its good luck and health benefits adds a special charm. Your photos are lovely, and it's intriguing to see how the Tulsi is flourishing in the Desert Rose pot. I also use Tulsi leaves in my herbal tea. Given its medicinal properties, it's great that you have abundance of it. How do you use them?

Thanks for sharing this little piece of your garden and culture with us! Looking forward to hearing more about your gardening adventures.
