Salvation - Poem #2

Towards the infinite abyss is where I walked,
No hope, no might no words to fight.
I laid hopeless amidst the fire,
Where regret hindered just behind.
I was lost before I met you-
I was lost before tonight

Your love can heal wounds,
Even the deepest of cuts.
You broke me from my shackles,
And freed me from the night.
How could I ever repay you?
Your love's my only might.

I begin to dream again,
And see the shadows thin.
The voices begin to flee,
The devil abstains his whim.

My eyes light up when I see you,
The world never shined so bright.
You are but my savior,
So hold me for the night.
