Myriad of feelings

Sometimes i wonder how i got here
Deep in thoughts as i saw the bier
Questioning the very essence of life
With all the hate, sadness and anger
To the kitchen i went, looking for a knife

About to make it all end
My heart racing, consciousness floundering
Trying to stop and my actions, wend
I began wondering;
I must have let my demons out

I survived yet another day
With my demons trapped at bay
Locked somewhere in my mind
Yet i smile, act rational
For i am human, with a myriad of feelings
