Little Star
Twinkle, twinkle little star,
why the hell are you so far
up in the sky, away from me?
Just far enough that I can see
that little light that you let go.
It doesn't really brightly glow.
You shine your light out into space,
but I can't feel it upon my face.
Your light was warmth when I was young.
It filled my mind, and songs I sung.
The heat now gone, your light is cold.
It really makes me feel so old.
There is one thing that I hold dear,
For all my life, you were always here!
Dare I say, that when I die,
that there will be no last goodbye?
An afterlife, I hope there'll be,
then we can meet since I'll be free!
