Blue glass
Blue glass, yellow grass, clean brass, forward pass,
Showering forth from a field of dreams.
Where is my mind?
Melted in the rain…
Dillon’s dead
Or might as well be
To me.
The morning comes too early
And I’m lost in the sand.
Twisted reason
Feeds my monster
With all the pretty paper
That we can find…
Twisted reason
In it’s season
Finds laughter
In my kind…
Kool-Aid meanderings
Of sex and drugs
In a valley, far, far away…
How many times must I sing this song?
It’s old and I am tired.
Blue grass, yellow glass, dirty brass, Touchdown,
Showering forth from a field of screams.
Where is my mind?
Melted in the blue/black sun
Of midnight…
Steaming on a plate
To be eaten by the world,
Eaten by the world…
Where are my eyes?
That they would see me
Bound in chain’s…
Perhaps while drunk
We thought them eggs
And ate them for salad.
Yes that would explain much…
How much
Is that woman
In the window?
Stale tail, cold trail, dreadful snail,
Head in hands, face so pale.
Shaking like a drunk
In detox…
Would I know reason
If it bit me on the nose?
It’s these clothes you know
I stole them
From a nightmare
And now they’re all the same.
Red pill or the blue
Which would you choose?
Five seconds and counting
Three, two, one…
There, there now,
Where are you?
Where are you really…?
