Deep.. I definitely resonate with this one quite a bit.

Happy to hear from you bro, and even more glad that the comment actually makes sense in this sea of seemingly google translated auto-responses....

Word! You're one of the people I like more on here and I even put your name on my list of peoples pages to check out more, so.. I've been meaning to do that though in this case I stumbled onto your poem in my feed. Just been so busy working on this contest thingy, though I hope to get back to spending more time checking out other peoples pages, it's important and for me at least makes the steemit experience much deeper.

Also yeah! Hah.. There's a lot of bots or whatever just copy pasting comments, it's annoying.. But oh well. It is what it is. Before long the robots will be taking many of our jobs and who knows maybe we'll even have some kind of Terminator or Matrix-esque future. Those machines are becoming more and more normal! heh.

Touching Piece. Very Spiritual. Followed for more interesting reads!
Currently designing my roommates first chapbook. Ill drop the cover art designed by myself. Let me know If I can help you out in any way with graphics.

An honest heart-felt poem. Yes I have been there too. The face may look fractured and masked but the heart will go on. i write poetry as well and lost my sweetheart to death a year ago. It is a blessing to express yourself through poetic words that live on. Out of sadness and frustration grows life and beauty. Nicely written my friend.

Thanks, it feels like the hardest lessons are the ones we needed to learn the most in some respects. Learning to let go is never easy and I certainly don't envy how any of us go about it.

Nice words at the sunday morning - you got my upvote and resteem! Let's go on and have "fon"!

Excellent poem @clayboyn

'A good poet is someone who manages, in a lifetime of standing out in thunderstorms, to be struck by lightening five or six times; a dozen or two dozen times and he is great.'
'Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things.' love the way you described belessing to you @clayboyn

It is so very true. I'm a little speechless. I take this 2 ways. One way can be love about yourself and how you feel others should see you. The other being consumed by the person you love that you 'make' the changes they want to see, but the 'mask' hides the truth and when that happens a relationship is doomed.

I could be way off base to...but that's the feeling I get from it. Thank you :)

Wow. I didn't go into reading this with any expectations but was really impressed with how you were able to paint a vivid picture of the conversation/relationship here -- it really resonated with me. Very nice work.

Did you look for the image after writing, or were you inspired by the picture?

Thanks! I always just write and then look for an image that fits unless I'm working with an artist. The collabs I've done with @juliakponsford seem to evolve at the same time. Thanks for checking it out!

Very cool! I just started getting into the art prompt contests and love them. This month's is really challenging but fun: https://steemit.com/contest/@gmuxx/htym9-art-prompt-writing-contest-8

Any advice on great people to follow or other contests in this space? I am following TWB and the great work they're doing, but looking for as many writing-related accounts and groups as possible. Thank you.

poetry is very cool @clayboyn, I like, for me the poetry would be great if we mix with the music, everyone who heard it would be more comfortable soul. I often hear poetry when I am stressed again. thank you... :)

Nice! This actually reminds me of Realistic Poetry on Twitter were the admin posts a photo and subscribers get to post original poetry related to that photo. Maybe I should start something like that here as well.
