[ORIGINAL POEM] Lost In My Own Mind

There’s been thunder storms inside of me lately
Black clouds and heavy rain
The sun has been gone and all light I could see
Was dangerous lightening in the sky

The thunder has cut the cord between me and the world
I’m lost in my own mind
I’ve been in some sort of trance
Lost in the past, no time for the present and the future

But in the eye of the hurricane it’s always calm
If you can be completely in the present moment
Then you will always find peace and happiness
The now offers you everything you need right now
