I love this. I wrote a poem in my head yesterday about that burning sensation you get when you come near someone who has repeatedly hurt you in the past; but somehow you go near anyway. You have inspired me to write it down and see if I can get the words to truly convey this phenomenon. It is possibly called “You fooled me once.”
