It's happening all around me
Love is permeating the air
Inhale infatuation
Exhale adoration
Well damn.....
Is it my turn yet?
I've been a really good girl
I'm staying out of trouble
And I'm eating my vegetables
And every time Cupid has a sale on love
I make sure I'm the FIRST one in line
But maybe he doesn't see me
Do I look too anxious?
Maybe I should pretend like I don't care
Pretend like I don't want to be loved
Pretend like I don't want to love
Pretend like....like....
Like I don't care if love ever loves me back
Don't the old folks say "a watched pot never boils?"
But I stay in the kitchen because I really CAN stand the heat
And I'm not asking for a whole lot
I just want to smile whenever I think of him
And I want to giggle every time he says my name
And I want to melt every time he moans in my ear
