What Was I to Her?
― Ahmed Mostafa
a diversion
an interlude,
a play of shadow
in an empty room?
All my secrets
I confessed,
and now I live
with the regret.
She allowed a stranger
to unravel her dreams
and touch her breasts...
But to her
love's tenderness
meant nothing...
but another reason to despair.
Another good poem. Thanks for sharing...The photo is outstanding. Fits so well with the poetry.

Locked in sadness... well done, John. :)
yes,a good line ...locked in silence
Happens when only one of the two is in love! ( been there)
Often emotion is expressed more effectively when few words are used. I liked and congratulations.
yes, exactly! Less is more
