Darkness

I lie awake in the depth of the darkness
My shadow lost in the ageless night
Trapped and broken by the pain of betrayal
The world around me lifeless

My goals lost in d midst of my plight
My life laid bare before me
Stained by the hardships of life
Hoping all will come to an end

My heart tortured by the sleepless night
Pained and forsaken by the so called love
The walls quickly closing around me
But still searching for the cure

From the keyhole comes my source of light
