Goodbye

I woke up today,
And in the rupture points I found flickers of light...
Where there had been only darkness before.

I woke up today,
And instead of feeling like the air was being sucked from my lungs,
I feel like a weight has been lifted from my chest.

I woke up today.
And the sun shined through my window onto an empty pillow where my depression would otherwise lay.

I woke up today,
With fewer pieces missing than before,
and a brightness I could feel in my veins.

I woke up today,
And I will tomorrow too.
