Kindle
Only people with prior knowledge would know who this wonderful woman is. I can still recall the very first day I met her and talked her ears off. From that moment, some ten years ago, I've always felt a connection to her. We're separated by many miles and at times much less, but how my heart as grown close to her in recent days is beyond compare to anyone else in my life. ♥
You were called Kindle, when first we did meet,
and your words and your person were ever so sweet.
We talked and we worked, we loved and we cried,
and we built a real friendship without jealousy or pride.
It's been years since that time and still we do live,
and beyond friendship, it's love that we give.
I know some things seem strange and even foreign to you now,
but I promise to love you through it all with this solemn vow.
I don't know your fears, but I know they are real,
I don't know how far you've fallen, but I know that you feel.
Take my hand, hold it in yours, I won't let you go,
walk with me, stay by my side and together we will grow.
Open up to me, share with me your pain,
I will listen and be your confident and both of us will gain.
Trust in me and I'll trust in you,
breathe into me and you will feel my breath too.
Don't hold back, trust your secrets to me,
I'll keep them close in my heart, you will see.
I can't promise the moon, nor a wall that will be pretty,
but I can promise a foundation, one that will be steady.
I'll be your compass, a guide in the desert,
I'll stand with you firm, if only you'll share your hurt.
Come with me, walk through the fog, take in my scent, indulge in my love,
stay close beside me until the light shines bright again from above.
I'll hold you close, I won't let you go,
just don't push me away, and follow our glow.
I've been with you before, though in a different form,
and I'll stay with you now, until you're reborn.
So, look in my eyes, you know they speak truth,
and let's reignite a fire born in our youth.
