Silent Prayer Poem

This is a poem I wrote when I was 16 years old and in a girls home. It actually got published in Teen magazine and copyrighted, that was back in 1991.

I say a silent prayer when I know that God is there,
but He doesn't seem to hear the words to my silent prayer.
Sometimes I get upset and think he doesn't care
but that is when I cry and say a silent prayer,
But God has really changed my life and given me a reason to try;
try my best at all i do and say a silent prayer when I am through.
