The Elusive Verse (Poem)
There is a verse
of rhyme
elusive
as one grain of sand
amongst the countless sands upon the beach.
Rhyme is not a requisite
that this verse clings to-
nor offers rhyme its' sweet embrace.
It just takes off-
like a river raging.
No one knows
where it's going.
It's a strange, elusive creature
called
free verse.
