The Reverse

They say sometimes you need to go through pain
As life is not only about winning but also to lose
They say the water on the river couldn’t be steeped twice
And I couldn’t understand at the moment and remained fooled.

As the river has traveled through many seas
And my age has grown to sixties
The monsoon and the wind has taught me many lessons
And here I am sharing with you stories that once weren’t in creations.

I’ve walked through many stones
The foot has a scar of carved bones
The dripping of blood has made me strong
The thirst has been a savior to tell me stories of hope and freedom.

They say you’ve grown old
The pain in shoulders has taken hold
They call me old man in a town
Sharing talk of ancient times with toothless sermons
And I couldn’t agree more
I walk and people follow
To listen my sixty monsoon.

They say sometimes you need to go through pain
As life is not only about winning but also to lose
They say the water on the river couldn’t be steeped twice
And I couldn’t understand at the moment and remained fooled.
