The Carousel
The Carousel
Around and around no way off
The horse I ride has a plastic head
The bells sound and the lights flash
The horse I ride, it's eyes are dead
Up in front and behind are more
The car has one who's trying
The bulbs are bright but dirty
The car has one who's dying
Colours so bright and shiny
So much promise is everywhere
Cheap paint chipped and flaking
So much promise yet unaware
The ride master said it was free
There are many who jumped aboard
The cost was still to come
There are many who only hoard
It is the only ride in the park
Tell them to come one come all
Tell your friends to join us too
Tell them not about the fall
Around and around we will go
Thinking the ride is leading on
The end may be a lot sharper
Thinking we couldn't be wrong.

This is damn good dude! Sometimes I feel like I compliment you too much and it gets a bit faked, but that's really not the case. I like this poem even more than the previous stories you have written. I'm bewildered, even though I have to read it a couple of times more to grasp the full meaning of this text I think. Somehow this is more tiresome to read than your big walls of text :D.
I am glad you liked it. I don't write these very often as I think sometimes I am more comfortable with the walls.
I understand. In walls of text you have more space to really convey your stance/viewpoint. That's why it's more comfortable to me at least. The more I write, the more certain I am that people will understand what I'm trying to say. Writing a poem is in that sense feel a bit restricting to me. It looks like you have no problem with that according to this poem :). I like the banal topic as well, the carousel.
By walls you mean the one that shield your thoughts? I know poetry can be more revealing as it dwells too well on our emotions.
It was a lovely poem sire. I loved the theme and I get the message. I hope and pray we don't fall though. I pray we ride on and on.
@tarazkp You're poem well speak about this platform.
This is so dark, I love it. Especially this:
I know carousel to be a slideshow for moving through a series of content to be displayed, and its built with css 3D transforms and Javascript
Don't mind a programmer 😂 😂 😂 😂
BTW This piece of poetry is beautiful, nice and worthy read. I should definitely resteem this beautiful piece of art work. You deserve all the complements you have gotten for this. I hope to be as good as you though.
Hello @tarazkp beautiful carrousel poem, thanks for sharing, excellent
Genial, @tarazkp.
The carousel of life is turning
sometimes it's slow,others it's fast
Inside me a desire is burning
To break out of this wheel at last
, thank you for a great poem and an awesome metaphor
Truly beautiful! I'm so glad i found a great talent so soon after I joined Steemit. ^.^
