Memories: A poem
Late in nights, lately,
I feel being late for
what seems to be the past,
But I ran so fast for it
Wanted to grab it, and hold it
And kiss for endless time
Not the past that I thought
would be the future,
But her, of course her
And the match lighted the brightest at first strike
So we thought it'd linger
Like the Sun
For many human infinities
But it's the thirst to blame
That's baffling, thus extinguishing
Where does it all meet?
Love, but late,
Early, with fate,
Lingering, in hate
Some past, a future, it did eat
Floating free; some defeated fleet
