2020.

This year, like all years, is ours to give meaning. Virus aside:

This could be the year we realized the value of company. This could also be the year we learned how to be alone.

This could be the year we made do with what we had. This could also be the year we realized we had too much.

This could be the year we weren't productive. This could also be the year we figured that was okay.

This could be the year we returned home. This could also be the year we realized we already are.

This could be the yeat we felt trapped. This could be the year we were set free.

The virus may have decided what the year brought, but we decide what it was about. Even if it was about not wearing pants.

And if it feels delusional to translate global decay into personal growth, don't forget: so is the gregorian calendar.
