Poetic Surge Contest: My entry
The cry of a child should be more powerful than a politicians smile
And we should be bothered about things greater than walking down the aisle
Cause while some lavish in extravagance, the African child for food has to walk a mile.
And the pain in the world has lingered for more than awhile
The politicians ride in their cars
And the rich man would never leave his door ajar
They live in affluence while the neighbor struggling to eat is not too far
The struggle of the poor man is so much, to be free for a moment they must smoke a cigar
Is there hope for the world I cry
Would you have the courage to help a stranger passing by
Cause at any moment you might just die
So did you live a life worth living or was your essence just a lie
@yalzeee That is some deep stuff man! I like it!
Thanks a lot
Really appreciate
Nice post
