Let me write you a letter.
What do you think of letters?
Are they old fashioned?
Do you consider them the relics
of a generation long since forgotten?
Or do you perceive the thoughtfulness
Effort, even courage
that it must take for a writer
to put pen to paper?

Let me write you a letter.
Handwritten, well crafted, bespoke
like a dress,
tailored to your whims and caprices.
It'll speak to you in ways you've
never, hitherto, been spoken to
But have at once, always fantasized
about being spoken to.

Let me write you a letter
Show you a snippet of my admiration
Introduce you to the beauty of you
seen from a lover's eyes.
Let the words I write dance with you
caress you, soothe you.

But most importantly,
Let me write you a letter
so that it'll serve as a memorabilia
of these moments in time we've shared together.
