I have been thinking a lot lately about our freedoms.............. or lack thereof. Specifically the authority we are all compelled from an early age to submit to. And if that authority is just and right or is it insidiously evil. We are trained to be patriotic and support the troops and respect law enforcement with out question. But these men and women are controlled and do the bidding of our elites in Washington D.C. who pretty much anyone in America will tell you is corrupt to the core. It doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum you find yourself. We can all agree there are agendas we don't like. Why then do we tell ourselves that we should submit without question?
This meme isn't intended to shock you. Or make a statement.
It only exists to make you think.
As for myself, I will continue to re-evaluate my position on where I stand.
(I am still struggling with my own indoctrination)

I couldn't agree more. Brainwashing at its best. It's obvious to say we haven't been in control of our country for the past century.
Agreed its a HARD habit to break. And I keep finding myself falling into the binary argument. I don't agree with the blind statism but don't want to be lumped into the Antifa idiots either.
I do know this is NOT what the Founders had in mind when they enumerated our Freedoms.
I think the Founders did the best possible thing they could to keep our freedoms safe from government encroachment but the government is a powerful machine that complacency has only given more power.
Agreed. Our complacent apathy has made us weak. But people (myself included) are starting to wake up. Crazy to think that 535 people decide the fate of 330 Million.
Question everything I agree 100%. Before you laugh at me and mock me -> look into flat earth, HAARP (weather control), you think I'm being paranoid, I've done intensive research on these topics and maybe will post articles in the future on each section as I am new to steemit. One thing is for sure, you can't trust the government. What ever they tell you it's most likely opposite, just like China, what ever they ban you invest, cheers.
Hah! I wrote a little bit on flat earth a while back. The evidence is compelling either way. I'm not sold yet.
All I know for sure is I have never been to space to verify one way or the other. So I am reserving judgment for now.

Well if you start each day of a childs education with something as ridiculous as pledging your allegiance to a flag you will produce good and obedient tax cattle and wage slaves chanting 'yoooesssayy' ad infinitum and clinging on to quaint notions like the superiority of ones particular nation state uber alles. Our true nationality is mankind as I think HG Wells once put it.
Anyway congrats on your awakening, it can be disorienting at first so try to remain seated for a few moments and avoid driving or operating heavy machinery for the next 12 hours.

They are suppose to be working for US as in "U" and "I". Instead of doin so, agendas are pushed, greed takes over, then control. The Number 1 goal is to be able to control the masses!! But I see people everyday that are getting their eyes opened to certain agendas being pushed. Which is awesome to see. The darkness can hide from the light!!!

The individual who make up law enforcement. I want to believe are basically good people. There are some I have come across who have a true servants heart.

Policemen are individuals, just like you and me. They have received only the power, from the State, that the constitution grants them -- which is none.
The constitution is a document, a contract if you will, supposedly binding on "We The People". But the people in question was never asked if they accepted this contract; they never signed or affirmed it. The only people the constitution has binding powers on, is those who have signed it individually -- who are all dead.
The policemen, granted powers to enforce the law by the constitution, which binds no one, perform only illegitimate actions over other's person or property. Thus, if anyone's person or property is being invaded by a policeman, he has the total right to defend himself and his property -- even lethally.
Nowhere in the Constitution is there powers enumerated to police. The Sheriff in any given county is the highest law enforcement officer because he is elected by the people.
I'm in a tough spot personally. I have family who are law enforcement. Who I know to be good people. But are working within a corrupt system.

Your friends and family are probably good people, they just don't know they're the actual criminals, when they invade other's rights. You should tell them about the libertarian platform, Adam Kokesh's book "Freedom!" might be a good start.
Funny story. My brother (who is a cop) gave me an Amazon gift card for my birthday last month. I used it to buy The Most Dangerous Superstition by Larken Rose. Haven't started reading it yet. Will have to check out that Adam Kokesh book as well.
