The Red Wall falls!

Boris, like Trump, represents something the progressives just don't and won't understand. We are sick of being ruled by tyrannical busy-bodies and un-elected, unaccountable, corrupt bureaucrats in far-distant capitals. We realise most everything government touches turns into crap, and we want to preserve our national identity rather than have it supplanted by hostile cultures. We don't want unaccountable rulers, we want to elect public servants. We don't want to redistribute wealth, we want to redistribute power. We want to divest central governments of power and return power to the people at the local level.

I've got lots of problems with Trump, but at least he's on America's side. If he didn't have his abrasive personality flaws, he'd likely be the most popular president since Reagan. Boris may be similarly flawed, but he knows his job is to serve the people, not rule over them. The Left has gone batshit crazy and become slaves to totalitarianism and have made it clear they care more about foreigners and parasites than they care about the patriots and the productive.

There are other signs in other countries that the West isn't completely willing to commit suicide, go full-on commie, turn everything over to the Green hucksters, or surrender in the clash of civilisations with the Muslim World, but Boris's victory is not only a tremendous triumph for national sovereignty and conservatism, it is also a colossal defeat for progressivism.

In America I think it is way too late for progressives to turn their ship around in time to avoid the iceberg in next November's elections. The Loony Left is captaining their ship, they are at ramming speed with this impeachment/coup d'etat, and they are about to be torpedoed by Barr and Durham.

2020 could be the year the regular people unite to tell the invaders, the looters, the utopians, and the tyrants to shut the hell up and leave us the hell alone. We have a golden opportunity to stem the tide of socialism. Let's not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
