I admire your analysis here. As a person from a libertarian/liberal tradition, I am in favour of free trade, globalisation and global market integration including freedom of movement for humans. Trade wars and protectionism is very bad because we as individuals have to pay for it, including in blood. I am hoping that for example Brooking Institute and Cato Institute could convince Biden to open up and liberalise trade. Even in the EU there are problems with economic nationalism and protectionism. At least, America and Europe should integrate economically.
Yep. Unfortunately, the Bidens of the world tend to listen to the people they believe can get them re-elected or stop them from being re-elected, rather than necessarily to the people they think get the issues right.
