Weaponized ignorance

This is an article I wrote back in 2014, but it is still very relevant today, as you will se. Enjoy and please feel free to share.

Useful idiots. The term has a meaning, much deeper than the words themselves. It is not an attempt at name calling, or slander, nor should it be seen as joking around. Vladimir Lenin coined this term to describe one that fights for a cause that he/she does not fully understand. This group is crucial, in the distribution of propaganda, and the effectiveness of that propaganda increases exponentially when these "foot soldiers" are utilized in an effective manner. When used correctly, "low information voters" as we like to call them today, can sway public opinion, and affect outcomes of major events such as elections.

Ignorance is extremely dangerous, when dealing with power hungry oligarchs that strive to "win at all costs". This goes back to the Marxist mentality of "the end justifies the means". This philosophy, is generally responsible for inspiring peace loving people, to carry out criminal acts, giving them the illusion that these unlawful actions are somehow necessary for the greater good. Hundreds of millions of people throughout history, have been victims of communism's pursuit of the greater good. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, the list goes on. It makes you wonder why all of these college grads that consume this anti wealth propaganda, are not up on history, and the effects of communism on the masses. Have they ever picked up a history book? Or does it have to do with fact that the history books in these universities, portray history in a sick twisted manner, due to the progressive slant that is present in the texts?
Let me make very clear, that the term "useful idiots" in this particular context, is not attempting to attack the intelligence or the sincerity of those mentioned. I am trying to shed light on the evil, that exists in government propaganda, and the deceptive nature in which it is fed to the masses. Children, have often been used as pawns or objects in which to prey on compassionate individuals that are typically targets of specific issues and talking points. Look at Sandy Hook, and the recent high school shooting in south Florida, two tragedies used as a battle cry for gun grabbers. People think,"we have to protect children",and in turn , there is a major push in Washington to push through gun control "for the kids". This takes us back to our history book, what follows mass disarmament of a people? Genocide! Every time, it ends the same.
We need to look at things objectively and protect ones rights above everything else. Bad things happen, when legislation is pushed through, as a result of strong emotions, especially when those emotions are a product of a crisis. It is ok to feel, but we need to run those feelings through our brain before we turn them into action. Sometimes, acting too quickly can do more harm then good. George Washington once said, "Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action".
