A supranational organization will be a dictatorship :P You prevented in another way, it is not so diffciult to do it ... well maybe at the moment it could be more hard than 80 years ago (Einstein time) but I think still is possible without the craziness of a World Govermment ... sorry but Einstein was not so intelligent as you think...
You can keep your local products and culture if you want.Just make a colony where you only allow that culture.
