Equality is not good

in #politics7 years ago

Modern society seems to be deeply obsessed with equality in every sense and in every field, it is necessary that all humans be totally equal, recognized as equal, treated equal, seen equal, in equal social positions and with economic equality.

This is not a new idea at all, you just have to keep an eye on the communists of the last century and realize the results. I once heard about a group of immigrants who left the United States for the Soviet Union in search of equality, things did not end well.

Something that I have not been able to understand is the meaning, the why, of the egalitarian movements. Humans are not equal in any way; a man is not equal to a woman, is not this logical? an asian is not equal to a white and not a black, in fact, two whites are not equal, not even those two that are twin brothers, in the absolute, equality is an abstract idea, cannot be applied in humans because simply, and as I said before, nature does not mass produce, the two most similar men are not the same, not even the leaves of the trees are the same.

We are all different and this is something that I have always seen as good, we are the same species, of course, we have many similarities and things in common, right, but we are not the same, we are not close to them, we are very different. Think that there are 7,000,000,000 people in the world and none is the same as you, some are more similar than others, but none have your abilities, none thinks in the same way that you do, none of them reasons, feels, and interprets their reality and their environment in the same way that you do, you are unique.

But wait a moment, 7,000,000,000 people? Do you know how much difference there are among so many people? Do you even know how many people are these? It is a figure of people so big that we cannot imagine. Do you know how 7,000,000,000 people look? They are too many, so different from each other that it is often difficult to place them in the same group, and I am not talking about physical differences, those are by far the most insignificant and less abysmal differences, I speak of mental differences, differences in their reasoning , the differences in their way of seeing and perceiving the world. 7 billion people is a lot, because the human is not just a number, no numerical figure can describe man, nor can he value it, which means that each of these people is much more than just 1 in 7 billion.

No person is equal to another, and no equality will make us improve as a society, in fact, the search for equality far from being something beneficial is something harmful, which will end up leading society to the definitive loss of freedom, because if there is something that frontally opposes equality, is freedom. We are not equal when we are free, because by nature we are different.

Even an inanimate object can be different under the eyes of different people, the same chair can look different and can be perceived differently by two people, to the point of representing two different things. The swastika is used in different oriental cultures symbolizing all kinds of things such as "the whole" and "the eternity", sometimes even used to defend people from evil, but on the contrary, if a Western person sees this, it is undoubtedly the Nazi regime will come to mind along with a lot of ideas with negative connotations.

A couple of years ago, a photo of a dress that people did not know was their true color was viral. Some perceived the dress in white and gold, while others saw it in black and blue.

White and gold or Black and blue?

This is just one more sample of how different we are, and how we can even see the same world, in a different way.

I don't believe that there is any equality that is positive, absolutely none, many will support some as equal opportunities, but opportunities are not created by societies, but by people, and if people are not equal by nature, then obviously they cannot have the same opportunities. Equality before the law is another one supported by the liberals, but again, it would be misleading to label equality before the law to laws that are applied universally to humans, that is, regardless of our race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and beliefs, we are all human, and therefore, the same laws apply to everyone, so it is not a matter of equality.

In modernity equality is a disguised antivalent, it is not good, it is harmful, and it goes against freedom and tolerance, because tolerance is precisely about accepting those people who are different from you, and being able to live in peace with them. When the Founding Fathers and the Liberators of America used the word equality, they used to refer to no one by birth being considered superior to another, like kings or aristocrats, because all men are created equal, but this sense has already been lost, and the quest for equality has become absurd, and has been the silent cause of countless murders during the past century, both in the Soviet Union, as in China, Cambodia, and many other countries around the globe.

To finish, I'm going to leave this little clip of only 3 minutes, where parody equality in "The Fairly OddParents", is very short and knowing that it was written for children maybe laugh a little.

Sort:

Many older people who lived in the Soviet Union and who now live in America, are scared to death of what they're seeing happening now in the United States.

The students in most of these liberal universities have been brainwashed into Marxist warriors while being charge outrageous tuition. LOL It's messed up.

Your perspective is refreshingly truthful. Nice job. Resteemed.

Thank you very much!

Human history is a pendulum that swings between socialism and capitalism. Public and private. Collective and individual. Whatever you'd like to call it, we are currently in a timeframe where the tides are changing and trends are accelerating, but towards what exactly?

Surely seems like the formerly capitalist US is moving towards socialism under the guise of "equality" and "convenience". Nothing new in the scope of history, however. All things in nature are cyclical.

The beauty of the modern era is that we can simply relocate to a place that suits our enjoyment much more than in previous eras. Internet for the win!

I have come to the same conclusion. The socialist countries of the red tide in Latin America, for example, have become a little more to the right, while in the United States and Western Europe shines neo-Marxism. In Eastern Europe also changes the tide, at first glance it seems that the world went crazy but I begin to notice a pattern.

We don't need to throw out the baby with the bath water. The quest for equality makes sense. Of course if you look at what happened in communist countries it seems to be not the best idea. However if we apply it to capitalism it makes sense. Look what is going on in US and compare it with Scandinavian societies like Denmark or Sweden. Here you have a much more equal society and actually much happier people.

That the Scandinavian countries are happy and equal does not precisely link equality with happiness. The Latin American countries are in the top positions of inequality around the world, however, they are also on the list of the happiest in the world; Costa Rica, for example, is the 9th most unequal country in the world according to the World Bank, but the 13th happiest according to the UN, surpassing in both indexes countries like United States, Germany, France, United Kingdom, etc... The same happens with Mexico, Chile, Panama, Brazil, Argentina and almost all Latin American countries.

I think that instead of focusing on equality, we must focus on the creation of wealth, and try to make the people of tomorrow better than the people of yesterday, without seeking to equate them with each other.

We must focus on the creation of wealth...? But you brought up Costa Rica. Here you have not material wealth what makes happy people. On the other hand in Germany in spite of financial success many people seem to be very unhappy. I think too much focusing on either equality or creation of wealth goes in the wrong direction.

People are not happy to have wealth or to have equality, but the State can not bring happiness to people. The State must certainly care not even to create wealth, the State must worry about imparting justice and order, and remain the pillars of society.

People on their part, who should lead the market and society in the direction they want, should then worry about looking for what they want most. If they want to seek equality then they can do it. If they want to seek riches, they will also do so.

I don't support the search for equality because I don't think it is convenient, and because I believe that when we focus on sharing existing riches and not producing more, then society stagnates, because it cannot grow in what people are looking for, which causes its collapse.

Our country is dying of thirst for a drink of water like this article. Thank you so much! It's important that your point of view be heard and not drowned out by Marxist mantras!

This is a nice piece.
