A Broken Clock is Right More Often Than Trump

in #politics8 years ago

Even a broken clock is correct twice a day, the current President of the U.S., not so much. I have to give Trump credit for hanging in there tho, he is faced with such constant and coordinated smears on himself, his family, his history, his policies, there is little to no chance of him catching a foot-hold in the climate that exists in today's mass media world.

Beating on Trump is the new American pastime. He's a misogynistic, egomaniac, sociopath who enjoys fascism and white power in his spare time. His every thought is about breaking up the families of brown people and starting wars. That's what the legacy media has told me.

Don't get me wrong, I am personally not a fan of Donald Trump. I've said from the beginning of the 2016 campaign, the man is a buffoon that gets his way by bullying people. His limited vocabulary makes him sound like a learning impaired child while speaking off the cuff, in public.

The words he uses: greatest, super, more, best, better, give me pause as to his understanding of the world around him. Also, knowing people that have and still do work the Trump Organization, make me question his managerial skills. He's impetuous and bombastic.

I have a friend who was the GM of one of his Trump golf clubs. He was fired on the spot one day, after Trump flew in and toured the grounds of the golf course. Trump pulled his little cadre of handlers together, made a knee-jerk decision and the next thing you know, one of Trump's lackeys was escorting my friend off property.

His offense: Winter storms had burnt the fairways with ice. So my buddy gets the boot for Mother Nature causing some damage to the turf, he wasn't the Superintendent, Trump fired the wrong guy.

Regardless of how much buffoonery the man is capable of, he's still the sitting POTUS for 3.5 years to come. If the current trends in the Swamp, known as D.C., continue, there will be nothing but gridlock. Both sides of the aisle putting up roadblocks that stagnate any agenda that the Executive Branch attempts to push.

Trump made efforts to reengage Russia and Putin diplomatically, the next thing you know, the Russians were quickly demonized as worse than the former USSR. Meddling in elections, somehow controlling their "favored" US candidate and invaders of Ukraine and Crimea.

Following that, veto proof sanctions were placed on Russian businesses, individuals and industry. When has anyone seen such bipartisanship in Congress? With an almost unanimous vote on sanctions, Congress once again took away the powers of the Executive Branch to conduct the business of the U.S.

Pair the sanctions with the seizure of Russian Diplomatic properties in the U.S., expulsion of ambassadorial staff and closure of the Russian's San Francisco Consulate, having a relationship with Russia is no longer in the cards for the Trump Administration.

When an obviously staged confrontation between "White Supremacists/Fascists" and "peaceable protesters" turned violent in Charlottesville, Virginia, Trump blamed both sides of the near riot for the ensuing melee. This generated a public response that he was pro Ku Klux Klan, pro White Power and pro Fascism. No matter what his response had been, it would've been wrong. The MSM would've found some angle from which to attack the President.

In the Grand Narrative, that is brought to us by the forces of the Hidden Hand, which distributes the talking points of the day, it is difficult to grasp whose playing what role in the game of geopolitical chess. Are the Politicians acting like a band of Professional Wrestlers who only need to change the color of their costume to determine if they are a good guy or a bad guy?

I don't know what role Trump is actually portraying or whether or not he is in on the game of thrones that is being played out in the world. One man against the world? Encouraged to be flamboyant on Social Media to inflame his detractors? Beneficent world leader? Who knows?

The one thing I do know is that he will be wrong in any endeavor he chooses and fail at any attempts to change policy, regardless of what it is. That is the script we're currently following.

Maybe one Trump just isn't enough. I'd give you a hat, but here's an upvote. Enjoy!

Love the gif.

I understand your assessment @wakeupsheeps Great post with great graphics. This is what I see. Whatever anyone thinks of President Trump, the alternative is the New World Order/Deep State/Shadow Govt/Luciferian Manifesto. It doesn't matter what politicians tell you, they take orders from their donors; same with entertainment, sports and fake media idols. I think Trump is doing an incredible job considering the war against him. No one else could do this. No one. He understands both sides of politics. He is not perfect but he is sincere about America and what government of the people, by the people and for the people means in historic terms. Like any good father, he wants to leave his children and their children, and their children a better world. I am behind him because for me there is no where else to be.

Making America Great Again is not going to happen overnight and Trump is not going to do it without the American people behind him, voting in incorruptible local officials and sending politicians of honor to Washington. And we should try and see the best in him and all people and pray for his safety, his family's safety and safety for all.

I appreciate the well thought out comment @sophistryproof. Whatever I think of Trump, the alternative would have been far worse. The Clinton Machine taking office again made my blood run cold during the election. Their history is so sordid, I can't actually imagine where the world would be right now.

Trump seems to be trying to do the right thing amid headwinds that no other politician would be able to tolerate. He's definitely got an uphill battle to fight.

Agreed. This seems like a pretty incredible time we are living in. I am hopeful.
