There is no political solution in Syria without a Ceasefire!

in #politics7 years ago

Perhaps the statement sounds like a solution that will solve the conflicts that occurred in Syria, but it is not. You must think that I do not support the Syrian peace? I can explain it.

Yes ... a ceasefire may be the first step and should even be the first step for a permanent solution of the Syrian conflict.

So what is the main solution for the settlement of the Syrian conflict?

1. Engage the UN as a Balancing Power

In all the conflicts in the Middle East in recent years, the UN has never played an important role as an arbitrator, even seeming more favorable to America / NATO. It should be remembered, however, that the United Nations is a major Organization recognized by almost all countries in the world, and the United Nations with large funding can also mobilize other humanitarian organizations under it.

2. Know the parties involved

It will be very difficult to create a peace in a conflict without knowing which parties are involved and what motives they use to get involved.

3. Leave Syria

Without outside interference, the Syrian conflict only occurs between the Government of President Bashar al-Assad and the anti-government group. So why did the other side intervene directly in Syria's internal affairs? Let the People of Syria solve its own problems, other countries may contribute through humanitarian organizations or even through the UN.

4. Deadlock that hurt each other

Peace in Syria can be reached if the parties involved in the conflict are in a "Deadlocks that hurt each other". This condition occurs when the conflicting party is exhausted in the fight and realizes the deadlock (will not win but ith to admit defeat). Thus open loopholes for entry of third-party mediators (in this case the United Nations) to establish communication between conflicting parties that lead to conflict resolution.

Of course it takes time to realize peace in Syria especially if it must be based on a sense of mutual understanding among those who fight. Sufficient suffering is suffered by the Syrian people today it is not necessary to wait for Syria to fall apart not only for the sake of the show of strength and and to gain interest regardless of how many victims of this war.

Closing this post I will quote a famous statement from Joseph Stalin:

A single death is tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic

Are we going to let the deaths of thousands of Syrians will only become statistics, or do we assume that the Syrian conflict is also our responsibility.
