Looks like Poloniex isn't accepting deposits or withdrawals(AGAIN!)...
As I woke up this morning and was checking the price of steem across the different exchanges, I came across a familiar message:
"Steem is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require and update from the Steem team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling."
A message that we in the Steemit community were all to familiar with for over a month!
I am not sure what is causing the problem this time.
Last time it was claimed that it had something to do with the Hardfork. However, happening like this out of the blue makes it look a little more suspicious.
As of right now I have no plans of ever using Poloniex again. Bittrex and Blocktrades will be my exchanges of choice going forward.
If you haven't already tried @blocktrades I suggest giving them a try. In some cases it can even take out a step when converting from virtual coins to fiat...

Totally agree with you. This is just too annoying. I am only going with Bittrex for STEEM now :-)
I just read they were having problems too, ugh.
Thank u for shearing this information
I have an account in Bittrex and i have a message "Automated Maintenance."
I'm not sure that there is a problem
Poloniex is very annoying with this 'stopping' us from accessing our own freaking funds! I mean - if it happens once or 10 times - I understand - I cannot understand when it happens these many times!
Coinbase is the other one that is good but very very annoying as they say 'we are unavailable' just when ETH/BTC/LTC go to a point where buying or selling becomes profitable!
I like Bittrex for now (except for their wallet maintenance) - they have been consistently online! At least that has been my experience.
Same with mine, thanks for sharing.
