The Chinese company AI Unix presented a domestic robot capable of performing everyday tasks such as preparing food, cleaning spaces and organizing objects. In practice, it works as a complete assistant. It can wake up the user, prepare breakfast and then continue with other household tasks, all in sequence and that is important because they are no longer isolated actions, but rather a continuous execution.

The robot measures around 1.60 cm in height, weighs about 80 kg and uses a base with wheels, which increases stability and efficiency within the home. In addition, it has cameras, sensors, microphones and even lidar to understand the environment and interact with people. Its robotic arms can manipulate objects with precision, allowing everything from simple tasks to more delicate activities.

This represents a significant advance because houses are much more complex environments than factories, everything is different, objects vary, spaces change and situations are unpredictable and even so, these robberies are already managing to operate in that scenario, of course, there are still challenges, autonomy, costs, security, reliability, those aspects still need to evolve, but the concept already came out of paper and that changes the perspective.

Now, a home robot is not just being demonstrated, it is being tested on real tasks and when this starts to work consistently, the idea of ​​a smart home stops being limited to a virtual assistant that controls lights and appliances and starts to involve machines that take care of daily tasks, it is fiction, starting to become a concrete possibility. And if you think this is still a long way off, maybe it's time to look at something much closer to your routine, because this change has already started and is happening in places you've probably already been.
