The new hand was redesigned to be practically the same size as a real human hand, a one-to-one ratio, the system now has dozens of degrees of freedom allowing extremely complex movements, the robotic hand is capable of replicating the way human fingers move, but movement alone does not solve the problem. Because a hand without sensitivity is practically useless in our tasks. That's why the company invested heavily in touch sensors.

The new version can capture information on the entire surface of the hand, fingers, palm and critical contact points, as if the robot could sense. To train this, they used special gloves, human operators put them on and each movement is captured with high precision, transforming real actions into data for the robot to learn.

Within this hand there are extremely powerful motors and when they work for a long time they generate a huge amount of thermal energy enough to compromise the entire system. The solution was surprisingly inspired by the human body itself, Xiaomi created a cooling system that works like sweat glands, internal channels that continuously dissipate heat as if the hand were sweating.

This allows robots to maintain constant performance, even under intense use, when you put this together with everything that is happening, thefts produced at scale, learning human tasks and now with precision hands and resistances close to ours, it is clear that we are reaching a critical point where machines are no longer limited and begin to interact with the physical world in an increasingly natural way, but these machines really need to be the same as us.
