Great post. I am familiar with some of these concepts from compressing large photographs. I am always fascinated by the ingenuity of the mathematicians and programmers who come up with these methods.
I also admire that. Collaboration between programmers and mathematicians lead to amazing technologies. And it's even better when person is mathematician and at the same time knows how to code
