Populous update — Preparing for Alpha takeoff

You know you’re doing something right if every major bank, institution and/or otherwise smart money institution are clambering over each other to get you into a room.
The response, once people really dig into our Whitepaper, Technology and Vision, has been overwhelmingly positive.

The Alpha
UI & UX designs are currently underway, we know it’s incredibly important that it has to be intuitive and straightforward to use, while also looking good.
This is one of the main themes we’re really focusing on and hope that it’ll really give the Alpha a ‘polish’ to it.
Another key focus is on security, for obvious reasons. We’re putting no pressure or rush on this. It’ll take how long it takes, the faster the better but we need to make sure we’re completely air-tight on all ends.
We already have over 40 invoice sellers lined up and ready to use the platform. We’ll pick 5 to 10 of the best suited with $10k+ average invoice sizes to test. During this test period and the alpha, we’ll be taking near 0 fees on the platform side, however investors putting up PPT collateral will likely still receive interest on the trade.
We’re anticipating starting the Alpha in 3 weeks, in the mean time we’ll be dropping designs and ideas into the community for feedback.
We’ll formalise the process to join the Alpha on our next update, however it’ll only be available to a select number of individuals in our members channel of our Slack.
Community
For now we’ve paused the joining of our Slack and deleted the Telegram group. This is so that we can create a streamlined system for information, as well as being able to pay more attention to our core users.
Our main channels will be through our newsletter, twitter, this blog and the slack group (For user-centric talk).
We’re actually pleasantly surprised by how productive our community is. We tested the water with a few drafts and thoughts on what we are releasing and you gave us invaluable feedback that we’re genuinely going to incorporate into our platform, marketing materials and overall operations. So, thanks, keep it coming :)

We’ll be looking to community for Mods, we still haven’t decided how we’ll do that.
