PortmanTuesdays #14
nourishmeant
[nuhr-ish-ment]
noun
1: something intended to provide sustenance.
2: eating is the most important thing in a person's day. I don't know why I had to sneak that one in, but I felt that it needed to be said.
Also, cool fact that I discovered. Did you know that neither is a portmanteau!? :O How awesome is that! That gives me hope that any invented word could be absorbed to the vernacular. Man, I hope one of these days, a portmanteau of mine would trend enough to be added to the dictionary.
Oh and I just discovered that I now have 1234 followers haha! As a fan of numbers, just as much as I'm a fan of words, that really tickles me.
Not either? Makes sense. I suppose one day people might call graphic novels grovels.
Haha! I think grovel is taken, but I'm sure it could be an alternate definition. Doesn't bode well for graphic novels though haha!
Lol, congrats on your 1234 followers, am sure ILY should write your own dictionary... Kudos, I always love your post
Thanks, man! And I appreciate all of your comments and support :D
I have no doubt that one day one of your words will end up in a dictionary!
That's the confidence I want to hear from a co-creator of mine! Haha! Thanks for the big ups, brother!
which reminds me that I need to tone down on eating the good stuff if I want to fit in my barong lol
You still have a month haha I have no doubt that you would be able to fit!
Congratulations for the 1234 followers! It's fantastic. I hope it's 5678 soon! regards
I had a half a mind to go and follow 5678 people just to give a good visual haha!
That pinkish, spongish, eating-all-little-freakish kirby thing...
I always tought it was so disturbing...
That's why I included that GIF haha! I would be remiss if anyone comes out of this completely turbed.
Hee hee, you have the best gifs. I have some valentinesing (yep, there's my word) to do, but I look forward to catching up on your quest for snow and your own valentinesing! xo
Hee hee I hope you and Howie had a great one! Looking forward to reading about it! I already have mine up because I've written 90% of it before I went out yesterday haha!
What is neither a portmanteau of? Not-or? That's my guess. I would say Nor is the same, and so we're very redundant when we say, "A pickle is not-or an entree not-or a dessert."
Not either haha! I knew nor was a portmanteau because of my programming background, but I didn't why I never thought of neither. Could we create new words just by inserting 'n' at the beginning to negate them? Nyup.
Njedau.
That's me. I'm not you, so I'm njedau.
Everyone else is njedau as well.
Most people are nimprov, too.
I know I certainly am!
Almost as much as I'm njedau!
I recently watched Black Panther, so appending n before our names has a new meaning haha!
I wanted to use it in a sentence, but first I had to figure out what nourish meant.
OHOHOHO!!! Pew! Pew! Paul just fired the pun gun!
I'm not sure any more if nowadays food is meant to nourish or are humans just turned into some intemediate station of processing living beings?
I think that's a grim way of looking at things. If they're doing something productive with our waste, then I think that's a positive. But, right now, waste is just waste. So, I don't think it's cut and dry like that.
